Our AP Russians are Tall!

I thought you would enjoy this update - we enjoyed reading it (Molly)

We are safe and sound. I have had issues getting on the internet Friday and Sat. Hopefully it will stay on now. We are drinking from a fire hose but all is well. Busy from early morning to late night. Mike had to do the transfers that were due today. It was all mixed up. Long story. But all is well. It is quite an ordeal here. When ever you travel to somewhere you have only 72 hours.

So whenever we go to another area, Vera, the office travel and visa clerk has to prepare all these documents.

This Vera, is a native Russian and she has been here forever. Who knows what would happen in the mission office is she was gone. She knows all the rules and regulations and keeps everybody safe and sound.

It has been foggy, cool and unseasonably rainy in Vlad for the past several weeks. It is nice because they say it is usually really hot and humid. I'm ok wearing the jackets with the skirts but it will be interesting to see if it continues because we could use a light jacket in the early morning and at night.

We went to a baptism of a young adult sister today. She was paralyzed from the waist down and the Elders had to lift her up and over into the font. I will post pictures. The font is above ground! Like a swimming pool. The Elders climb a ladder to get in it.

It was nice and we met 14 missionaries, 5 members, 1 branch president, 1 investigator and the non-member mother of the Tatiana, the sister being baptized. It was great. I understood some, but one of the AP's translated for us.

Tomorrow we will attend the two branches in Vladivostok. Monday is P-day, but Mike has to call all those being transfered so they can begin the move on Tuesday.

The party has started!!!

Everyone has been so nice. The office couple, The Magills, they are wonderful. We are going to get along great. They are from Wisconsin. He is a retired dentist, they have 4 girls. They are are age. Great personalities. We hit if off right from the start.

Monday we will go to various FHE or host FHE. Tuesday and Thursday are English clubs, Saturday night is sports night, Wed & Sunday we will be visiting lessons with the missionaries.
Vladivostok is the San Francisco of the far east. Hilly, winding roads, steep, crazy traffic with not stoplights anywhere....everyone just merges to the middle, honking their horns. Some roads come together from 5 different directions and everyone heads to the middle. It is soooooo crazy!!!
Love you all and thanks for all your prayers in our behalf. We are great and things are going to be just fine.
